1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services provided by Smooth Currency ("we," "us," or "our"), you ("client" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Service Description

Smooth Currency provides professional translation and interpretation services including but not limited to:

  • Document translation in multiple languages
  • Live interpretation services
  • Website and software localization
  • Certified translation services
  • Technical and specialized translation

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete source materials
  • Clearly communicate project requirements and deadlines
  • Review and approve project quotes before work begins
  • Provide timely feedback during the translation process
  • Pay invoices according to agreed payment terms
  • Respect intellectual property rights of all parties

4. Our Responsibilities

Smooth Currency commits to:

  • Deliver high-quality translation services
  • Meet agreed-upon deadlines and specifications
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client materials
  • Use qualified and experienced translators
  • Provide reasonable revisions for quality issues
  • Communicate promptly regarding project status

5. Pricing and Payment

Payment terms are as follows:

  • Prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise specified
  • Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date for standard accounts
  • New clients may be required to pay in advance
  • Rush projects may incur additional charges
  • Certified translations include additional certification fees
  • Late payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% per month

6. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client materials and information. Our translators and staff sign non-disclosure agreements. We do not share, distribute, or use client materials for any purpose other than providing the requested services.

7. Quality Assurance and Revisions

We provide quality assurance through our multi-step review process. If you identify errors or quality issues within 30 days of delivery, we will provide reasonable revisions at no additional cost. Revisions do not include changes to the original requirements or scope of work.

8. Delivery and Acceptance

Translations are delivered electronically unless otherwise agreed. Projects are considered accepted if no quality concerns are raised within 7 business days of delivery. Rush delivery requests may incur additional charges.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the specific service provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific project in question.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your original materials. We retain ownership of our translation work and may use de-identified translation samples for quality improvement and training purposes. You grant us a limited license to use your materials solely for providing the requested services.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

Project cancellations are subject to the following terms:

  • Cancellations before work begins: Full refund minus processing fees
  • Cancellations after work begins: Charges for completed work
  • Rush projects may have limited cancellation options
  • Interpretation services require 24-hour cancellation notice

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, technology failures, or government actions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with UK arbitration rules. The seat of arbitration shall be London, England. The language of arbitration shall be English.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and clients will be notified of material changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
